Melbourne and Surrounds

4 hour city tour : This tour covers the Melbourne ‘essentials’ including the Botanical Gardens, Shrine of Remembrance, Southbank district, CBD (downtown) alleys/laneways, seaside suburbs of Albert Park, St Kilda and Brighton plus a local food market such as Queen Victoria, South Melbourne or Prahran.

8 hour city tour : In addition to the essentials, there is now time to add in High Street, Armadale (local women’s designer clothing strip), Chapel St Prahran/Windsor (local neighbourhood with specialty stores), Brunswick/Gertrude St Fitzroy (local neighbourhood with specialty stores) plus various other options such as architecture, art galleries, street art, food, flora/fauna or sports.

11 hour Great Ocean Road : This is the most popular day trip from Melbourne and includes wild kangaroos, wild koalas, wild parrots and breathtaking scenery. The 11 hour option takes guests to the Twelve Apostles limestone rock formation whereas the 8 hour option goes as far as Kennett River to see the wild koalas. Popular add-ons/customisations include a 3 hour point-to-point (including 1 hour on the ground) Melbourne-Twelve Apostles helicopter tour or alternatively a short 15 minute helicopter tour once at the Twelve
Apostles (price on application).

8 hour Phillip Island (Penguin Parade) : This is the second most popular option where we head 2 hours out of Melbourne and see the ‘little penguin’ species (the smallest in the world). In the summertime, the tour will conclude in Melbourne at midnight whereas in the winter months it will finish at 8pm because the penguins appear at sunset. The best way to experience this tour is the VIP or Ultimate Adventure Option to avoid the crowds.

8 hour Mornington Peninsula : This region is primarily visited for its wineries but there is also the Moonlit Animal Sanctuary, Arthur’s Seat Chairlift with scenic views , Gordon Studio Glassblowers (where you can watch them creating the glasswork), Red Hill Brewery (for something other than a winery), cooking class at Green Olive where you pick your own vegetables and strawberry picking at Sunny Ridge farm. This tour is a great option for people who don’t have time for the Great Ocean Road as we return to Melbourne via the scenic coast (in parts).

8 hour Yarra Valley : This region is primarily visited for its wineries but there is also the Healesville Animal Sanctuary, chocolaterie, dairy farm, Four Pillars gin distillery, contemporary art museum at Tarrawarra, Puffing Billy classic steam train through the Dandeong Ranges or horseback riding.

8 hour Daylesford: This region is famous for its natural mineral springs and has a beautiful lunch/ accommodation option called Lake House. Other options include visiting a lavender farm, Trentham Falls, llama trekking, Convent art gallery, Redbeard Historic Bakery, hike to Hanging Rock.
